Snow Clearing in Lethbridge County
LETHBRIDGE COUNTY- Lethbridge County would like to remind residents how roads are prioritized for clearing after a snowfall.
Hamlets and hard-top roads are cleared with the County’s plow trucks. The County’s graders will assist with snow removal in hamlets, with backhoes clearing alleys when deemed necessary.
With a snowfall of more than 10-12 centimetres and at times where excessive drifting from high winds occurs, gravel roads are cleared based on priority. School bus routes will be cleared first, followed by haul routes, and then the remainder of gravel roads.
For public works snow emergencies, please call (403) 328-5525 and follow the voice prompts. Please do not message the County for public works emergencies on social media as these accounts are not monitored 24/7.
Lethbridge County would also like to recognize the efforts of our public works staff who work hard to ensure our roads are safe and cleared in a timely manner.
