Mission
To annually complete, within legislated guidelines, a defendable and equitable market value based assessment for all property within the County and collect taxes in an efficient and courteous manner. 

This department is responsible for assessing/valuing lands and buildings in the County for taxation revenue purposes. It is also responsible for ensuring conformance to statutory requirements, standards, regulations, County policies and objectives of all appraisals of lands and buildings in the County for taxation revenue purposes. These functions must ensure conformance to statutory requirements, standards, regulations, County policies and objectives.

PUBLIC NOTICE
PAYMENT FOR TAXES AND UTILITIES CAN BE MADE BY:

MAIL:
Enclose the remittance stub at the bottom of the notice with a Cheque or Money Order.

IN PERSON:
Visit our Lethbridge Office or Picture Butte Office during business hours.

DROP OFF BOX (AFTER HOURS):
Payments can be deposited in our 24 hour "drop off box" available outside at the Lethbridge Office. Please do not deposit cash in the drop off box.

BANK:
Please check with your financial institution to ensure they accept payments for the County and allow 3 business days for processing.

TELEPHONE OR ONLINE BANKING:

Electronic payments must be received on or before the due date shown on the front of notice. Always allow sufficient time for processing.

Late Tax Payment Penalties:
July 31, 2017, 5% penalty
September 30, 2017, 5% penalty
November 30, 2017, 5% penalty
January 31, 2018,
15% penalty

POSTDATED CHEQUES ARE ACCEPTED.
